Eclectic Calico (brick and mortar) opened on Monday, November 25, 2013 in downtown Madison, just in time for Black Friday and Christmas shopping. We are a boutique offering Handcrafted, Vintage, and Repurposed goods. We opened with 9 different artists and vintage collectors and have since grown to more than 20. Based on my prior experience with craft shows and being in other stores, I personally select each artist and vintage collector.
Owning my own store has been a dream of mine since I was a little girl. I would set up “shop” in my bedroom, make posters, and advertise throughout the house. Throughout my years of growing up, attending college (degree in Textile Materials Science from NCSU), corporate jobs, and full-time ministry, that dream remained in the back of my mind. God just had to get me to the right place before He would fulfill it.
